Snippets

Despite many people's ardent belief that absolutely anything can now be found on the web, many times I have gone searching for things, like, say, the piano sheet music for Vannessa Carlton's A Thousand Miles or the lyrics to some incredibly obscure song, or the exact length of the longest word in the English language, and come up short. Occasionally, many hours later, I will come up with it or find what I'm after offline. This space, which I currently call Snippets, is for storing the stuff that I wanted and eventually found, so that others may find it more easily. I hope it's of some use.

Seems to be mainly lyrics at the moment.

• Drink With the Beloved - lyrics to a traditional Sufi song. These didn't exist at all online, and I had to transcribe them myself from a video of it.
• Hoof and Horn - the lyrics to this song do exist on line, but they're scattered about and I have a recording of it. ;)
• Once There Was a Time... - the lyrics to this song do not exist online as far as I could see, so consider yourself lucky. :)
• The Longest Word in English - Took me ages to find the full 119,000 letter long name for the informally named Titin.
• Human Rights Act - just a few easy to remember notes on the Human Rights Act.
• The BNP 2005 Manifesto - the general election manifesto of the British National Party, which seems to have mysteriously vanished from their website.
